Carrier onboarding and operational terms
1. Scope
These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between WEIS TRANSPORT INC and carriers who complete the enrollment form and are approved to move freight under our authority.
2. Carrier responsibilities
- Maintain all required licenses, operating authority, and insurance coverage.
- Ensure drivers comply with applicable safety, hours-of-service, and equipment regulations.
- Protect freight from loss, damage, and delay, and report incidents without undue delay.
- Keep profile, payment, and contact information accurate and up to date.
3. Compensation and payment terms
Compensation, quick pay options, and standard payment terms are defined in your rate confirmations and onboarding documentation.
- Invoices must be supported by required documents (BOLs, PODs, lumper receipts, etc.).
- ACH information provided in the enrollment form will be used for settlement.
- Any payment disputes must be raised in writing within the timeframe specified in the rate confirmation.
4. Use of electronic signatures
By signing electronically on this platform, you agree that your signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature for contracts, authorizations, and acknowledgements presented by WEIS TRANSPORT INC.
5. Limitation of liability
Except as required by law or expressly stated in a written contract, WEIS TRANSPORT INC is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the services performed by carriers.
6. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws specified in your master agreement or carrier set-up documents.
